Members Present; Barbara Sullivan, Scott Campbell,Michael Bunn, Arturo Alon
(1) Minutes from the Wednesday, September 20, 2000 Meeting were read and accepted (with edits) with Michael Bunn motioning to accept and Scott Campbell seconding.
(2) Project Reviews: A status letter from Ron Reil was reviewed by all and accepted. Ted Malone's development was discussed with an understanding that he has run into serious construction problems which will affect his dates for occupancy.
(3) Habitat for Humanity; Mike Bunn reported that HforH will be coming before our Partnership for their two unit development at 5 Fritz Way. Possibly the construction will begin in the spring.
(4)Occupancy Permits:Scott Campbell met with Judith Oset on developing
occupancy guidelines for construction projects which include affordable
housing. The LPHP is concerned that affordable units are built concurrently
with/or within a realistic time frame with the whole project. Barbara Sullivan
said whe would dicsuss this with Judith and invite the DRM to attend our
next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, November 16th
at 9:00 a.m.
(5) A Review of Clem and Debbie's Construction on Shank Painter
was had. The following changes have developed: the top level will be sectioned
off as a condo and sold as a four bedroom suite; the two retail spaces
on the ground level will be sold off as condos; bottom level will also
have a one bedroom handicap, affordable unit which will be sold; the middle
level will be condoed off and will feature 10 afffordable SRU's.
Clem and Debbie will have to come before the LPHP with the revised
plan. At the time of their appearance, the LPHP will ask them to present
guidelines for the 10 affordable rental units.
(6) Tenant's Rights; Arturo Alon presented the idea of the LPHP featuring, in the winter or spring, a lecture on tenant's rights. The idea was embraced and further discussion will be had.
(7) Alternate LPHP Member; A.A. mentioned two possible new members to the LPHP. He will follow up conversation with the potential candidates.
(8) Next Meeting of the LPHP will be November 16, 2000 at 9:00 a.m.
