Tim Hazel said there should be a moratorium on condominium conversion to allow for an impact study on housing.
Community Preservation
Committee
At present, the Partnership has no representation on the CPC. Someone involved in Local Housing should be attending the meetings to keep current with the CPC discussions.
Letter on Condominium
Conversion
Tim Hazel suggested and Scott Campbell and David Federico agreed, that a letter or memo be sent to the Town Manager and Board of Selectmen requesting the possibility of placing a moratorium on condo conversion for a certain period of time to do an impact study on housing.
At present, there are 28 people being evicted from their place of residence. Due to the increase in evictions, the town should investigate condo conversions.
Pam Parmakian said the Partnership could just put an article on the warrant. It does not require support of the Selectmen.
The Local Housing Partnership members discussed setting up a joint meeting between the Housing Authority, the LHP and the Economic Development Council.
Next scheduled meeting of the Partnership will be August 10, 2006 at 4:00 p.m.
