Meeting Minutes

 

LHP Members present: Arturo Alon, Cindy Bowes, Tim Hazel, David (Dixie) Federico

 

Members absent: Scott Campbell

 

Staff present: Doug Taylor

 

 PHA members present: Arturo Alon, Margaret Carroll-Bergman, and Patrick Manning

 

Joint meeting called to order at 9:00 a.m.

 

Meeting Agenda

Joint meeting with the Provincetown Housing Authority to discuss Affordable Housing Trust Fund

 

Board members discussed the specifications for a Housing Specialist.  Barnstable County does not have a housing specialist; therefore, no information was available. 

 

Various job titles were discussed, as well as funding of a position.   Responsibilities should include maintaining an affordable housing program, tracking database, working with the various departments within Community Development, i.e. Building Commissioner, Health Agent, etc.

 

Doug Taylor said he receives calls with questions about the moderate-income level, rentals vs. ownership, can the developers choose the tenants and perspective owners.  An affordable housing specialist would field and deal with these issues and concerns.

 

An Affordable Housing Specialist proposed for the Town of Provincetown to be explored and discussed at the January 20, 2006 meeting.

 

Adjournment: Cindy Bowes moved to adjourn the meeting at 9:45 a.m.
