Public Meeting

 

November 19, 2004

11:30 a.m.

 

 

LHP Members Present:          Arturo Alon, Cindy Bowes, Tim Hazel, and Teri

Nezbeth.

 

LHP Members Absent:          Scott Campbell, and Eileen Kennedy

 

Others Present:                Warren Alexander, David Nicolau, Laura Shofeld, and

Ken Weiss.

 

The meeting was called to order at 11:30 a.m.   

 

 Meeting Agenda

 

It was decided by general consensus to table the minutes until the next meeting.

 

There was a discussion with Laura Shofeld about a growth limit.  Also how things should be classified and clarified.

 

David Nicolau said, “It’s not clear how gallons are given out.  David presented paperwork on the idea of choices. 

 

New rules need to be put into place for gallonage before it gets lost in translation.

Motion:  Tim Hazel made a motion that Keith Bergman pursue the language which clarifies the reapportioning of used gallonage to the category which it remains unused.  Teri Nezbeth seconded the motion and it passed 4-0-0.

 

Laura recommended that 1 affordable should get you 2 market if you add 1 middle or market.  Base affordable allows the greater number.  Doing 2 units you get market and affordable.

 

Ken Weiss had a discussion on the prices of units and how developers can’t do affordable units. “It’s not worth their while,” said Ken.

 

The next meeting will take place with the Affordable Task Force on December 8th.

 

Ken continued that with 2 middle market units, everyone seems think that is a great idea.

 

The meeting adjourned at 1:00 p.m.
