Keith Bergman opened the meeting at 9:25 a.m. Discussion of letter drafted by Principal assessor to be sent to owners of rental properties for data base of opinions on feasibility of proposed plan of 100% property tax exemption for property owners willing to provide low-rent year round housing.

Discussion of proposals presented at January 4, 2002 meeting.

Discussions covered need to establish exemption rules, 1 or 2 tier system most acceptable, Revise letter and do a random sampling of property owners.

Staff meeting set for January 24, 2002, for further discussion.
