Licensing Board Statements
§
The
Licensing Board would like to request an opinion from Town Counsel about what
authority the Licensing Agent has in enforcement of businesses operating
without a license. Does the Licensing Agent have the ability to close a
business down?
Licensing Agent Statements
§
There
are still a few businesses, licensed through the board that is still not
licensed for the 2005 year. All businesses, which are not yet licensed
regardless of being licensed through the board or as a Corp. Retail, have been
sent a notice on August 2, 2005 notifying them they were in violation. Tomorrow
the Licensing Agent will be actively citing each business operating without the
proper license, registration or inspection.
