Work Session

1.      Taxi Rules and Regulations

Present: Ted Meyer, Police Chief; Officer Glen Enos; Queen Cab; and Cape Cab.

The work session was very productive. Queen Cab presented to the session suggestions in amending the Rules and Regulations. They proposed rate increases/surcharges, rates by zone and discounts. There was much discussion regarding the idea of zones for rates, and it was decided that implementing zones this season might be too much combined with all the other proposed changes. Therefore, signage regulations proposed by the Licensing Agent, and rates/surcharges/discounts proposed by Queen Cab was agreed, by all attending, to be advertised for a public hearing on March 22nd.
