Public Statements:
There were none.
409 Commercial Street
Town counsel said, “without a doubt, it’s a
referral.” Judith Cutler was the
counsel who was quoted and also said that the language questioned by Mr. Valois
in the CCC Guidelines is not in question.
73 Commercial Street
Mr.
Struble, the owner, and Robert Valois, the designer presented the plan to the
Commissioners. There were a couple of changes for which Robert Valois will
resubmit plans, i.e. putting in skylights. Plans call for skylights 22” X 39” and the dimension will
change to 30” X 39”.
Motion: Roger Keene made a motion to approve
the plan with the following conditions:
1.
Entry porch detail to be
adjusted to match original front entry.
2.
Windows will be 6 over 6
instead of 2 over 2.
3.
Roof to be red cedar.
Ardis Markarian seconded the
motion and it was approved 5-0.
(AK had yet to arrive.)
216 Bradford Street
The project presented by Adam Wolf, the owner, was an existing deck replacement. It was a simple request with no changes in size.
Motion: Roger Keene made a motion to approve the plan as presented. Ardis Markarian seconded the motion and it was unanimously approved. 5-0.
A.J. Santos and his brother Francis John Santos presented their case to the Historical Commission. The boatyard at 131A Commercial Street was built in 1954 and yet has been classified as being in the historic register. A.J. asked the Commissioners to please inform the Building Department that they are in the historical district but because of the age of the building need not be reviewed by the Provincetown Historical Commission as a contributing structure. A.J. even had the original building permit issued in 1954.
The map and page number are 06-4-108. Roger Keene promised to inform the Department of Regulatory Management of the building’s status.
