Any other business which shall properly come before the Commission.
The meeting was called to order at 9:30 a.m.
Tony Hale presented the plan on behalf of the owner. The plan basically requested replacement windows for the property. The Commission listened to his plan and then made the following motion:
Motion: Gino Verzone made a motion “not to
refer” based on the following conditions:
1.
Replacement windows to have
manufacturers permanent exterior applied muntins.
2.
Muntins on individual windows
to match existing windows being replaced.
3.
Preference for picture
window to be replaced by three (or four) windows trimmed to match existing
windows (windows to be individually cased).
Ardis Markarian seconded the
motion and it passed 5-0.
28 Tremont Street, Patrick
Eleey
He presented his request exactly as stated in the agenda with the following decision:
Motion: Ardis Markarian made a motion to accept
the plan as presented. Gino
Verzone seconded it and it passed unanimously. 5-0.
6A Pearl Street, Gary
Morotta
Mr. Marotta presented his plan assisted by his contractor, Mr. Parker. After a bit of discussion a motion was made.
Motion: Ardis Markarian made a motion to
approve the plan as presented.
Gino Verzone seconded the motion and it, too, was unanimously approved
5-0.
409 Commercial Street,
Robert Valois
Mr. Valois graciously offered to wait until the end of the meeting because the Commissioners felt their decision might take a bit of time. Robert Valois wanted a definitive decision before he felt comfortable proceeding with the project. Roger Keene, Chair, made a call to Sharon Rooney of the Cape Cod Commission based on whether the scope of the 409 Commercial Street project necessitated Cape Cod Commission review. She (Sharon) told Roger that she would have to seek more input on the decision and would call back in a day or two. It was suggested that perhaps Robert Valois might want to call her, also, in case any other questions erupted.
Decision: Have 409 Commercial Street put on the agenda for the next meeting of the Historical Commission in the hopes that a decision could be made at that time.
Motion: Gino Verzone made a motion to accept
the minutes of the March 27th meeting. Ardis Markarian seconded the motion and it passed 3-0-2 abstentions
(absentees).
Austin Knight wanted his absence to be reflected as
excused for the March 7th meeting. Also Steve Milkewicz should have been marked as excused for
this meeting. Changes will be
made.
A letter was read into the minutes regarding the
changes to be made to 198 Commercial Street (the Ranch). The project is no longer being planned.
The Commissioners then asked Roger Keene to go to
Judith Oset to ascertain that the Historical Commissioners approval of a
project should lapse when the building permit lapses. Translation:
approval is only valid for one year.
A
motion to adjourn was made at 11:15 a.m. and unanimously approved.
Respectfully submitted,
Evelyn
Gaudiano
