Minutes for Meeting

Meeting called to order 9:00 A.M.

Present: Dray, Knight, Milkewicz

Absent: Burnell

Dray report on CPC applications

Knight spoke with DPW, wants to meet with them about town buildings, suggested joint meeting with tourism group. Agreed to be liaison with DPW, Tourism, e.g. discuss Fire Station by Spiritus

Dray will confirm that CPC easement lists building on State Register

Knight questioned what schedule is for repairs to Town Hall

Discussion of Warrant Article #15

Motion to Support Article made by Knight, seconded by Milkewicz, vote in support 3-0

Knight will read statement at Town Meeting

Discussion of general focus of Historical Commission:

1. CPC
2. Education/Policy
1. E.g. liaison w/ town boards, such as EDC and ZBA
3. Survey Research
1. E.g. History Project, would like to preserve 10% of HP CPC money for Survey and research
2. We need to create scope
4. Protection
1. Demolition by Neglect ordinance – explore, Dray to get examples
