Handouts were distributed
by Brian. He explained that more samples and an additional test for fecal coliform need to be done at various beaches in Town. The
additional test cost is $12.00 per sample for 18 beaches at 4 x week for 4
weeks. This equals $3456.00. There is also an Optical Brightener Test to check
for phosphorus but won’t be done now.
Motion: Recommend to Board of Selectmen that Harbor Committee supports
expanded testing program and approve the disbursement of up to $3000 from
Harbor Access Gift Fund. This to be under the direction of
the Health Inspector and HarborMaster.
