Unfinished Business:
Old Business:
· Review 2005 Amendments to
the Harbor Plan status
The
Committee is still waiting for the state's response. That was covered in the minutes of April 19th. Jerry Irmer said he can just meet with
Truman Henson as a spokesperson for the Board.
He would also like Heather to be the one to meet with him. Heather would like the state to cite
specific rules for amnesty.
After
a bit more discussion and by general consensus, it was decided that Jerry and
Heather would represent the Committee in the proposed meeting with Truman
Henson and any other representatives of the state. Heather will try to get a tape recorder for the meeting so that
other members of the Committee can listen to it at a later date.
· Washington Ave. Town
Landing Status
Jerry
received an e-mail from Truman Henson dated April 27th regarding a
meeting CZM had tried to set up with the interested parties. At this point he is waiting for a response
from Keith Bergman.
· Good Templar Place Town
Landing status
Jerry
received a letter from the Harbormaster dated May 3rd. The letter proposed an interim solution.
Motion: The Harbor Committee concurs with the letter
from Rex McKinsey to Jerry Irmer dated May 3, 2006 and supports the temporary
repair.
Motion: Kerry Adams Seconded: Heather
Bruce Voted 5-0-0.
Alice
added: "I think we should approve
the temporary fix but the adjacent property owner should be responsible for the
permanent fix."
· Beach cleaning machine
status
There
is a beach cleaning company in Brewster and Jerry has spoken to the owner at
length. There is no price at this
time. He uses Barber equipment. Jerry feels that the Committee will have to
deal w/ConCom first - prior to making a decision. KA would like to get him to give a rough cost for semi-monthly
cleaning. Jerry will get an estimate.
· Status of obtaining maps
of the harbor
Jerry
has to contact a Boston outfit to see how much it will cost to reproduce the
maps. Jerry will research. Schofield has a beautiful copy of the
map. Doug has a Schofield map
downstairs.
New Business:
· Announcements
On
May 1st a letter of complaint was received re: Sandpiper Beach House. One
of the owners of the condo complex has run off guests from their beach access
saying that no public was allowed. The
file # of this property is 96-5488.
Motion: Send a letter to Lou Gitto regarding the
Sandpiper Beach House and ask whether they have a license.
Motion: Kerry Adams Seconded: Alice
Brock Voted 5-0-0.
· Beach cleanup on May
weekend
KA
mentioned it at the last meeting and thought that maybe we should wait until
after the May 17th meeting to contact the schools. Proposed May 31 as the beach clean-up
day. Alice will talk to Len Enos to
see if they would consider putting up netting (fish net) to capture paper
plates and napkins coming from the Surf Club.
· Chapt. 91 license database
status
Martin
Huey is still working on the Chapter 91 database. KA would like him to come in to one of the meetings. Jerry Irmer said we have to give him some
of the database and what we’d like to have included in it. Mel suggested including the essential
conditions of the property, too.
· Statement proposed to be
included with Ch. 91 reviews
Tabled
until the next mtg..
· Any other business that
shall properly come before the Committee
A
prehearing conference report and order on Elena Hall dated Apr 26, 2006 was
passed out.
Next meeting: May 17 in Town Hall at
4:30pm.
Adjournment
happened at 5:57 pm.
