A Joint Meeting of the Provincetown Housing Authority and the Board of Selectmen was called to order by Bryan Green, Chair, on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 9:45p.m. in the Judge Welsh Hearing Room at 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, Massachusetts.

            A Joint Meeting was requested with the Board of Selectmen to appoint a member to the Board of Commissioners for the Provincetown Housing Authority.

            BOS Chair, Mary-Jo Avellar read the notice to fill vacancy to expire on May 8, 2008 and presented application of Cathy Reno Brouillet. Applicant, Cathy Reno Brouillet was present for interview.

           

            PHA Commissioner, C. Andrews informed the BOS that the PHA Board had voted 4-0-0 at their Regular Meeting to recommend the appointment of Cathy Reno Brouillet.

 

            BOS members, P. Parmakian and M. Couture presented concerns of possible conflicts regarding the July 2007 appointment of Cathy Reno Brouillet as an alternate to the Community Housing Council and a current appointment as a Board of Commissioner for the PHA. PHA members, C. Andrews and B. Green presented information that did not identify any conflict.

 

 

                        Motion by Lynne Davies that the Board of Selectman and the   remaining members of the Provincetown Housing Authority hold a

                        roll-call vote, pursuant to MGL C.41/11, to appoint Cathy Reno

                        Brouillet to fill the vacancy on the Provincetown Housing

                        Authority to expire on May 8, 2008 Annual Town Election,

                        seconded by Austin Knight.

 

                                                            Voted: Board of Selectman 3-2-0

                                                            Yes: Mary-Jo Avellar, Austin Knight, Lynn

                                                             Davies

                                                            No: Michelle Couture, Pam Parmakian

                                                            Provincetown Housing Authority 3-0-0

                                                            Bryan Green, Cheryl Andrews, Nancy

                        Motion by Bryan Green, Chair to adjourn the PHA Joint meeting         at 10:05pm, seconded by N. Jacobsen.
