A Work Session of the Provincetown Housing Authority was called to order by Nancy Jacobsen, Vice-Chair, on Tuesday, December 12, 2006 at 9:00am in the Judge Welch Room, Town Hall, 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, Massachusetts.

PRESENT:            PHA            Nancy Jacobsen, Vice Chair

                                    Molly Perdue, Commissioner

                                    George Bryant, Commissioner

                                    Patrick J. Manning, Executive Director

ABSENT:                 Pam Parmakian, Commissioner

                                    Harry Opsahl-Gee, Commissioner

The purpose of the meeting was to attend a Community Preservation Committee meeting regarding Priorities for CPC Funding Proposals for 2007 CPA funding.

P Manning presented need for funding to include small projects as well as large. The CPC had advertised for only projects of 50+ units for funding in 2006. P. Manning explained that large developments take several years to actually go on line and house people. The need to fund smaller projects could produce more immediate results while larger projects are being developed. P. Manning presented that funding should be available to provide acquisition funds for smaller projects. CPC members discussed the need for site control for funding that would not allow for acquisition funding. P. manning stated that site control is not a requirement of the CPA funding.

G. Bryant presented information on the new development by the Chatham Housing Authority.

M. Perdue supported the funding of smaller projects as the PHA representative on the CPC.

M. Perdue motioned for adjournment at 10:30am, seconded by G. Bryant,

                                                            VOTED: Unanimous to adjourn.

Respectfully submitted,

Patrick J. Manning
