A Joint Meeting of the Provincetown Housing Authority and Local Housing Partnership was called to order by Margaret Carroll-Bergman, Chair, on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 9:09a.m. in the Judge Welch Hearing Room at 260 Commercial Street, Provincetown, Massachusetts.

            The purpose of the meeting was a follow up meeting to discuss funding from the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, (AHTF) for an Affordable Housing Specialist, (AHS).

            The Board Members present discussed: part-time vs full-time

            Town staff position, a consultant or a contracted employee

            E. Anderson informed the Boards that the CPC would need support regarding monitoring of funded projects. The CPC does not have administrative nor staffing funds.

 

            D. Taylor to request Town Counsel to clarify the amount of funding for an AFS can come from the AHTF.

            The LHP voted to recommend to the PHA funding for an AHS from the AHTF as a consultant or contracted employee for 32 to 40 hours per week for 1 year with a maximum funding of $45,000.00. The LHP, PHA and CPC will be part of the hiring process and oversight of the position.

 

            M. Carroll-Bergman informed the LHP that funding from the AHTF is needed to fund contracting services from MHP and soil testing for 90 Shank Painter Road.

 

            LHP voted to support the request of the PHA.

 

A. Alon motioned for adjournment at 10:10am, seconded by N. Jacobsen,
