5 Browne Street
Appeal Health Agents Decision; Bedroom Count
Jane conducted a bedroom
count for unit #3. It has been
historically listed as a two bedroom cottage by the Assessor’s Office but it
doesn’t quite meet the dimensions of 70 s.f. per bedroom (8s.f. short). The
other bedroom criteria are met. The septic was also designed with the two
bedroom count for this cottage.
Health agent doesn’t feel
there is any public heath issue, since the septic design incorporates 2
bedrooms
Motion: Move to allow the Cottage #3 at 5 Browne to
be considered two bedrooms.
Motion: Duane Gregory Seconded: Jerry Anathan Vote: 3-0-0.

Discussion
Smoking Cessation Class
Barbara Rushmore requests the
BoH put an article in the Annual Town
Meeting warrant asking for $1,400 for the Town to sponsor a class on smoking
cessation.
She was asked by the Board if
she had any brochures about the group that would give the class. There was no information available and Dr.
Livingstone suggested that some classes are valid and some have no real
value. He would like some literature on
this. She was thanked for her input and
asked to research the different classes available, their cost, etc. and then
the BoH would consider the matter.
V. Approval of Minutes for October 16, 2008
Appropriate members not
present to approve.
Any other business that
shall properly come before the Board
Duane distributed a draft of a BoH regulation regarding rental
inpections. She had an informal meeting
with Michele Couture and was assured that inspecting rental properties was not
a move to raise money but only to safeguard the public health.
