Discussion

DPW Update—David Guertin

Red dot delays are a major issue. The board discussed having a meeting between BoS, DPW, and BoH to discuss how to deal with this.

DPW Update—Proposed fees for recycling—Sandy Turner

DPW is presently not charging for the recycling containers. Recycling now includes plastics in classes 1-7. A public hearing notice will be drafted to discuss fees.

Discussion:

Duane brought up the rental fee issue for summer rentals. She referred to the Health regs from other towns on the cape. BoH should be in receipt of the fees since it is BoH who does the inspections. Our bylaw is vague and needs to be re-examined. This will be a discussion item at the joint meeting with the BoS.

Health Agent’s Report

Jane had a good response to the grease class. Only 7 businesses have not attended and there will be one more class in September.
