New Business

7 Sandy Hill Lane

Title 5 Variance & ACO Request

Jerry Anathan recused herself from hearing this case.  Chris Witkins from East Cape Engineering presented the plan to the BoH.  They have a failed septic system.  Health Agent recommends approval. 

Motion:  Approve the Title 5 Variance with a deed restriction limiting the number of bedrooms to the existing six to be recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds.  Proof of recording must be provided to the Health Agent prior to issuance of the Septic System Installation Permit.

Vote:  4-0-0.

 

7 Sandy Hill Lane

The buyers of the property who are currently tenants request an ACO along with a “quick fix.”  The new owners need to sign on for an ACO as quickly as possible (within 5 days from the closing of the property.  The closing is proposed for July 26th.. Health Agent recommends approval.

Motion:  Approve the ACO for 7 Sandy Hill Lane.

Vote:  4-0-0.   

 

58 Commercial Street

Jane Evans presented the case for Timothy H. Schoeffler.  The current septic system is in good working order.  There was a heavily varianced plan done in 1999 which was approved by the BoH and can still be installed, however; the owner would prefer hooking up to the sewer system if that is possible. 

Motion:  Approve the Title 5 plan for 58 Commercial Street.

Vote:  5-0-0.

 

7 Miller Hill Road

Title 5 Variance

Alan Cabral from Felco Engineering presented the plan to the BoH.  Duane Gregory and Jerry Anathan disclosed that they are both real estate brokers as is the owner of this property.  Health Agent recommends approval.

Motion:  Approve the Title 5 variance request for 7 Miller Hill Road with a proviso that a deed restriction limiting the number of bedrooms on the property to the existing five is recorded at the Barnstable County Registry of Deeds.  Proof of recording must be provided to the Health Agent prior to issuance of the septic system installation permit.

Vote:  5-0-0.

 
Blueberry Hill Definitive Subdivision Plan

Review

This was merely an informational notification from Jane Evans.  The property is located at the Best Western Chateau and will eventually be a 10 lot subdivision. 

         


Trash Pick-up for Condominiums

Discussion

Sandy Turner, DPW Deputy Director, did a report on residential trash pick-up for condos.  It was sent to the Town Manager with copies to the Board of Health and the Health Agent.  The reasons for the rules and regulations for trash pick-up were explained in depth.

 

Approval of Minutes for June 21, 2007

Motion:  Approve the minutes of the June 21, 2007 meeting.

Any other business that shall properly come before the Board

 

Condo Rental Fees

This topic will be discussed again before the meeting with the BoS in regard to fee setting.   

Health Agent’s Report

I)                  Jane Evans reported that she is now working a 4-day-week from Tuesday through Friday.  Also she sent notices to businesses and she has 41 people signed up for the next grease trap seminar.  That was a good call.  It will happen on Wednesday (July 18th) at 2:00 p.m. in Judge Welsh Hearing Room.  There are approximately nine businesses who have yet to sign up.
