Rescue Standby crew should notify dispatch when they are out of the station. Memo will be sent to that effect.

Motion: Alexander motioned that the Rescue Standby crew notify dispatch when they are out of the station; Menangas seconded the motion; All in favor.

Alexander questioned why when there was a transport to CCH from OCHS that Lower Cape Ambulance didn’t pick up the patient at OCHS, for the comfort of the patient, instead of the rescue vehicle meeting LCA at the side of the road on Rte 6 to transfer the patient.

Captain Roda stated that unless it was a priority call the rescue crew performed their assessment of the patient and treatment.  He added that many things could happen before the other truck signed on the air and was ready to go.  If there is a priority call Lower Cape Ambulance does respond to the scene stated Roda.

Lower Cape Ambulance purchased two portable radios.  One was given to EMT Justin White.  It is not department policy to issue a portable radio to an EMT. Only command officers or the Rescue Captain or Lieutenant should have a portable radio.

Plaque honoring the late Douglas Trumbo, EMT-P will be given to Napi Van Dereck to be placed in a park.  Board members in favor.

Chief’s vehicle may have an oil leak and an exhaust leak.  Appointment will be made at BC’s to check out the vehicle.
