Board of Fire Engineers
Meeting convened at 7:50 p.m.

MA DEP Spill Trailer Training for Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2007. Classroom portion of training will take place at the Truro Fire Department. Field portion of the training will take place at the Wellfleet Marina in Wellfleet. Training information will be forwarded to Harbormaster Rex McKinsey.
New Rescue Vehicle discussed. Vehicle will be numbered 198 and Hummer will be changed to 199. Barnstable County will be notified of change.
Captain & Lieutenants meeting will be held on Thursday, September 20th. Plans for the Muster will be discussed.
Letter of resignation received from Captain Larry Flores #4 effective 8/31/07.
Bissell’s Tennis Court plan dated 8/30/07 reviewed.
HOUSE REPORTS
Personnel Training Committee discussed.
Marilyn Monks and Dan Notaro were on the committee but Monks was voted off at the rescue squad level. Brandy Tarala is interested in the position.
Alexander reminded the board that Tarala lived in Brewster.
Menangas reminded the board of their vote at the May 16, 2007 meeting, “ Anyone who resides past the Truro/Wellfleet line would no longer be a member of the department.”
Alexander complained of the number of people in the department who do not respond to calls or participate in anything.
Chief Trovato stated he was concerned about giving an unpaid member (Tarala) a paid position because they may not be covered under the departments insurance.
Chief Trovato will hold a meeting regarding the status of Unpaid Auxiliary members in the near future.
Rescue Pay per Call Payroll discussed. Captain Roda will submit the payroll to the office monthly.
Pressure washing and Painting of Main Station discussed.
Local Contractors discussed: Brian Alexander, Tom Reinhart in Wellfleet, Stewart.
Laminating machine discussed.
House members questioned the status of Chris Branch and John Reis.
Chief Trovato will speak to John Reis.
Mark Duarte voted out of House #1. Vote of the house was 8 in favor. Letter will be sent to Duarte advising him of the vote of the board and requesting his equipment, gear, etc. be returned to the department.

Jeff Perry voted in as Captain. Rachel White voted in as Lieutenant.
Kenny Kline will be sent a letter requesting his intentions due to his lack of participation.
Motion: Menangas motioned to accept the vote of the house; Roderick seconded the motion, All in favor.

Engine # 3’s Compressor still running excessively. Northeast Emergency Apparatus will be contacted
