Chief’s Report

Mutual Aid running cards have been completed.

New Simulcast unit was installed in the radio shed at the Winslow water tower. A problem with the installation disabled the Low Band overnight. Mike Smith repaired the system the following day.

2007 Firefighters Equipment Grant discussed. Provincetown is eligible to receive $4,000 for the purchase of firefighting equipment. 10 Motorola Minitor V Pagers were requested.

Balance of funds from 2005 Firefighters Equipment Grant total $2,180.

Secretary will be on vacation from April 23^rd to 30^th, 2007. Chief will be away April 16 to the 24^th.

Hummer (Crash truck) discussed. Tom Steele will be advised to contact the Chief re the Hummer. A new nitrogen tank may be needed for the vehicle. Triple K may also need to be purchased.

Engine Company 4

Application received from Rodrigo C. Santos for membership in House 4.

Motion: Menangas motioned to accept the vote of the house and approve Rodrigo Santos as an Auxiliary member of House 4, effective March 8, 2007, pending his physical exam, Alexander seconded the motion; All in favor.

Rotation of Rescue and Lower Cape Ambulances discussed. The Hummer #198 will be changed to 199. New Rescue vehicle will be designated as 198. EMS (C-Med) number 375 is available.

Addresses of all department members discussed. Letter will be sent to all Captains requesting them to obtain the names and addresses of all house members and submit them to the BoFE as soon as possible.

Air Gas Contract for Medical Grade Oxygen discussed. Under Mass State Contract is paid strictly per fill, $7.55 per cylinder. No Hazmat, fuel charges, rent lease or delivery fees of any kind.

Motion: Wolf motioned to change our Gas Contract from Corp Bros to Air Gas for the purchase of medical grade oxygen; Alexander seconded the motion; All in favor.
