Dispatching problems discussed.
Paging of Lower Cape Ambulance crew discussed. Barnstable County Radio Shack could install a button that would page only the LCA crew for ambulance calls. Equipment would cost $3,000. Chief Trovato and Police Chief Meyer will look into the matter.
Drivers List of members interested in driving the ambulance to the hospital will be given to police dispatchers.
When rescue crew signs off the air the dispatcher will acknowledges them.
Air Horn on Town Hall was recently disabled after being hit by lightning. Long Point Electric will be contacted to repair the wire with the use of their bucket truck.
Station #5 discussed. Cape Tip Aluminum will install 9 Triple track storm windows on 512 Commercial Street Station. Cost: $1,035.00.
Alarm monitoring agreements received from Intercity Alarm for Johnson Street Station ($ 675) and Station #5 (512 Commercial St)($700). Annual Alarm Monitoring service will cost $259 for each station.
Motion: Alexander motioned to approve the installation of the alarm systems; Roderick seconded the motion, All in favor.
Application received from John Francis Souza III for membership as a Junior Firefighter in House # 4.
Motion: Menangas motioned to approve the house vote of 6 in favor, 0 opposed to accept John Francis Souza III; Roderick seconded the motion, All in favor.
CPR/FACTS Course for members who missed the recent classes. The Chief will ask Mark Duarte if he can instruct another class and what the cost would be.
HeartSafe Program discussed.
$28,800 in funds approved (Article 33, ATM) to purchase the AED’s needed to implement the HeartSafe program. Secretary will contact the Tourism Board re obtaining the funds.
Personnel Accountability Tags (Pat’s) discussed. Kevin Varley from the Brewster Fire Dept. is putting together the tags for Provincetown. The department will only pay for materials.
