Chief’s Report

 

The Selectmen will hold a public hearing on Monday, January 26th at 6 p.m. in Town Hall on the proposed Capital Improvements Program for FY 2005 thru 2009.  Operating budget meeting will be held on January 28th at Town Hall.

 

House #3

 

Lieutenant’s position voted on by house members at a recent meeting. 

Results of vote were: Eight (8) for Jay Meads, Two (2) for Joel Macara.

 

Motion: Wolf motioned to accept the house vote to appoint Jay Meads as Lieutenant of Engine Company #3; Menangas seconded the motion, All in favor.

 

Storz caps needed for Engine 193.

 

Meeting with Officers overdue.  Inventory of all equipment on trucks will be requested for the meeting.

 

Johnson Street Station Boiler discussed. There is a problem with smoke pipe going from the boiler to the chimney.  Cape Cod Oil will be contacted to check out problem.

 

Cut Sheets & CD Rom’s for Engines 190, 193 & 195 will be requested from Ferrara

Fire Engine.

 

Forest Fire Directory of Information manual will be requested from the District Fire Warden.

 

AED Heartsafe Program will be added to the Action List. Funds will be requested from the Tourism Board.

 

Income verification for Lisa Silva requested by the Housing Corp.

 

Air Officer Position discussed. Joel Macara and Lorne Russell are interested in the position.

 

Low Band Radio in Engine 195 needs to be looked at.  Mike Smith will be advised.

 

Low Band Base (Kenwood single channel 100 watt base station in locking cabinet) Mike Smith will be contacted again re installation of the unit and repair of the speaker on Ladder 192.

 

First Responder and CPR/AED Courses needed for department members.

 

Truro Mutual Aid Running Cards discussed.  Copy forwarded to all Captains and the Police Department.
