Meeting convened at 8:00 p.m.

New Rescue Vehicle 197 discussed.
One (1) Bid received from Bert’s Emergency Vehicles of Blackstone, MA for $116,114.00.
Motion: Alexander motioned to recommend to the Town manager to accept the bid from Bert’s Emergency Vehicles for the purchase of the vehicle for $116,114.00; Monks seconded the motion; All in favor.
Contract for New Engine 193 discussed.
Town Counsel noted that Article1 and Article 2 prescribe different times for performance and suggested the inconsistency be cured. He also recommended that the Town add the following language at the end of Article 3 (Compensation): “Notwithstanding anything in the contractor’s proposal to the contrary, the Town shall make no payment to the contractor until the contractor delivers to the Town a complete Fire Engine with all required equipment as specified in Article 1.”
Changes in contract will be made as suggested by Town Counsel.
Funding for AED’s discussed. (HeartSafe Program)
Funds $21,042.55 will be requested from the Visitors Service Board for funding of the AED’s in conjunction with the HeartSafe Program.
Motion: Alexander motioned to request $21,042.55 from the VSB to obtain the necessary equipment and training to implement the HeartSafe Program; Monks seconded the motion, All in favor.
Letter will be sent to the Town Manager advising him of the board’s request.
Air Duct Cleaning at Main Station discussed.
Proposal received from American Clean Air, Inc. in N. Pembroke. Cost: $6,960.00.
Cost too high, other companies will be called for estimates.
Custodial position at Main Station discussed.
Nathan R. Herrick is interested in the position and submitted a letter of reference from the Anchor Inn.
