Communal Speaker with microphone requested for Engine 190. Chuck will be consulted on which would work better a Headphone or a Microphone.
Chuck will repair the water gauge on the truck on March 6th.
Old pagers or instalerts will be distributed to Junior members.
Ladder 192 needs to be rewired. A.J. Quirk will be asked to rewire the ladder truck.
Ladder 192’s roll up doors discussed. Middleboro Fire Apparatus will be contacted re matching the paint color to re-paint the
roll up doors on 192.
Color-coded Storz connections will order by the Chief from Ed Lyons.
New Thermal Imaging Camera information will be obtained.
Carpeting of Men’s bunkroom discussed. 50% deposit ($750.00) requested by Marsh Winds.
Motion: Wolf motioned to issue a check for $750, 50% of the cost of the carpeting for the men’s bunk room; Roderick seconded the motion, All in favor.
Old Fire Headquarters phone number 487-0345 will be removed from the phone book. Line is now used as a computer line.
Voice mail at the Main Station will be researched. Gary Delius will be consulted. Is present phone system adaptable?
Telephones (2) needed, one for the men’s bunkroom and one for the ladies bunkroom.
Provincetown has been designated a HeartSafe Community advised Monks. A formal Heartsafe presentation will be held and scheduled by Cape & Islands EMS System.
CPR Instructors needed. Board approved the cost for 10 members to take the CPR Instructors course.
Fax machine needed for the Rescue Squad to fax reports to the Council on Aging and Cape & Islands EMS System. Reports will contain information on individuals, 59 yrs old or older or younger with special circumstances, that may need intervention. The Reach Program is an intervention between C&I E.M.S, the Council on Aging, Elder Services and Cape Cod Hospital. Gary Delius will be contacted re setting up a dedicated line for the fax machine.
Motion: Monks motioned to purchase a fax machine; Roderick seconded the motion; All in favor.
Two bunk beds will be ordered for the Men’s bunkroom. Mattresses ordered previously with beds are not comfortable.
New Wet Dry Vacuum needed. Wolf will pick out a vacuum cleaner.
Motion: Wolf motioned to purchase a new Wet Dry Vacuum; Zawaduk seconded the motion; All in favor.
Two (2) paintings by artist Mischa Richter donated to the Provincetown Firemen’s Association and the Rescue Squad Association by the Richter family. Letter acknowledging the receipt of the paintings requested by the family. Letter of acceptance will be written to the Richter family. Information will be obtained from town hall on the proper procedure to add paintings to the Town’s art collection.
Capital Improvements Budget Meeting with the Selectmen on March 17th at 6:00 p.m. Improvements to be discussed are the purchase of a new rescue vehicle (197) , replacing the low band base station.
Russell LaPorte had not responded to the request for a letter from his physician stating his present physical condition.
Tier Two Emergency & Chemical Inventory report forms will be researched.
