Budget update reviewed by the Board.
Radio Officer’s Report submitted by Tim Caldwell. More information needed. Caldwell will be advised.
Invitation to Testimonial Dinner for retired Police Chief Robert Anthony on June 8, 2002, at 6 p.m. at the Provincetown Inn. Cost: $30.00
Fireworks Course will be held on May 21, 2002 at the Cedarville Community Center in Plymouth, MA. (Session A)
Letters of resignation submitted by Roger Green. Resignation from Ladder Company 192 and Treasurer of the Firemen’s Association will be effective May 1, 2002. Letter of resignation as Steward of Headquarters, effective April 17, 2002.
Board in favor of accepting Green’s resignations.
Katy Randolph’s lack of attendance at calls and participation at department functions discussed. A letter will be sent to Randolph dismissing her from the department.
FDM Report forms showing attendance of rescue members at fire calls is not being completed stated Alexander. He added that 12 positions were added to the squad’s membership to assure their attendance at fire calls.
Rescue members are reminded at monthly meeting to complete the reports stated Roda but it still wasn’t being done. He added that the response of squad members to fire calls was minimal and they just forget to complete the report. He will bring it up again at the next meeting.
Request to have floors stripped and waxed before Memorial Day Weekend. Alan Francesconi will be contacted.
Two nurses from OCHS will inoculate squad members with the Tine vaccine on May 15, 2002. Roxanne Macara and Kathy Staff will volunteer their time.
Cost will be approximately $75.00.
2002 Rescue Standby schedule discussed.
Roda advised that there were many holes in the schedule.
VFW would like to re-create the firefighters raising the flag at the World Trade Center site on their 4th of July float. Captain Martinez of Ladder 192 will be advised.
Battery charger on truck is not working. Chuck DeGrandpre will be advised.
Chris Turcotte may submit application to join Engine Company #1. He will need a physical exam, First Responder & CPR/AED Training.

Hydrant Adapter needed.
Drills thru the summer will be scheduled on Tuesday night.
Two (2) new Sawzall’s are in service on the truck.
Truck is back in service.
Chief Trovato will call Chuck at Emergency Vehicles of Maine to find out when 195 will go to Maine for repair.
Cleaning of Headquarters discussed.
Letter received from Cherie Mathews applying for the cleaning position.
Cleaning of Main Station will be discussed again July 1 when new budget is available.
Cleaning of windows at Main Station discussed. Rescue Standby will be asked.
Fence Installation discussed. Fence around Main Station discussed. Fence companies will be contacted for estimates.
ID Cards discussed.
Barnstable County can create the ID’s for department members at a cost of $1.00 pr card. Photos will be taken by Jeff Francis at the Main Station. Three copies
Motion: Roderick motioned to ask Barnstable County thru Jeff Francis to make up the
ID’s; Monks seconded the motion; All in favor.
Upgrade in Secretary’s position discussed.
Initial letter was hand delivered by the Chief to the Town Manager. A memo was also sent to T M Bergman requesting a meeting to discuss the matter.
Motion: Roderick motioned to send a follow-up memo to the Town Manager asking for his input on the board’s request; Zawaduk seconded the motion; All in favor.
Invitation to the Annual Meeting of CIEMSS on May 16, 2002, 6:15 p.m. at the Cape Codder Hotel in Hyannis. The meeting will feature a Commemorative Multi-Media Presentation by Britton Crosby and an Award ceremony for EMT & Paramedic of the Year.
Granby Professional Firefighters have partnered with Six Flags New England to Sponsor our first annual Firefighters Day on June 27, 2002.
