The Chairman Steve Melamed called the meeting to order at 9:35.
Motion to accept minutes of June 14 was made by Bill Dougal

No public statements were made.
Don Nuttilla of the Provincetown Business Guild was introduced by Gabby. Also joining the meeting were Michael and Donna of Provincetown Design Group and Joan of the Provincetown Banner and Ptown.com. and Town Manager Keith Bergman.
Discussions continued regarding Ptown.com’s presentation and RFP for web packaging. Bill Dougal discusses potential conflicts of interest.
Michelle introduces Lisa Bowden and discusses how Lisa will be helping with what is needed to make the new website work. Henry discusses the possibility of Ptown.com being able to supply the EDC with data.
Motion was made to accept the Scope of Services as outlined in the RFP for Technical Consultant for Economic Development Planning Initiative by CCEDC and attachment A

Bill discusses proposal for tax incentives and suggests Barnstable be used as an example - look to see how they used tax incentives.
Discussion: seasonal vs. year-round. Water usage and sewer system. Discussion of a 3 or 4 tier structure of pricing for water usage in order to incite year-round businesses and residents.
Henry, Todd and Bill will form sub-committee to go over licensing and come up with presentation for BOS for the September 27 review. The report should include recommendations.
Gabby and Thanassi will form sub-committee to come up with basic numbers for incentives and how to market to other groups.
Tentative meeting with Pier Corp. was set for September.

Task Force was called to order at 11:40.
Streetscape
Interviews were conducted on Monday with Icon and Martha Lyon Landscaping. Icon was recommended for the job.
Motion was made that the EDC formally approve the recommendation by Michelle Jarusiewicz resulting in the hiring of Icon as consultant for the Streetscape Project.

Lisa is introduced and discusses her background.
MCC Adams Grant
Three sessions were conducted. Provincetown is ahead of the curve. Connections were made, thoughts and concerns were shared, but no concrete solutions.
Keith suggests using Federal Funding for the Transportation Project. Discussion ensued.
