The Chair Steve Melamed called the meeting to order at 10:05 AM.
The minutes of November 16, 29, and 30, 2005 were reviewed and edited.

November 29 minutes subject to final draft.
Steve discussed a meeting he had with Keith and Michelle regarding the EDC budget request. Almost all of the items on the budget were approved. The ones that were not are still being considered. Keith also gave two suggestions for grant writing: Barnstable County and Cape Cod Commission.
Steve made note that Alix Ritchie would be absent and Bill Dougal would be coming in late. The newest member, Dr. Tuttle was expected but had not arrived.
A copy of the letter from Elaine Anderson of the CPC to BOS with regard to the State of Emergency for rental housing was handed out by Michelle. (see attached pdf file). Hunter, Thanassi and Gabby said that they would attend the joint meeting between the CPC and BOS.
Discussion ensued about tourism - ideas on how to get people to attend a public hearing on tourism, a joint meeting with VSB and the “Like Nowhere Else” slogan.
A tentative meeting was set for January 4, 2005 at 10AM. Steve would like to invite the VSB to this meeting if they are available.
Dr. Tuttle arrives at 11:00. He gives a folder with information regarding healthcare budgets for 2004 and 2005. Information included a Business plan and a Healthcare plan which gave a narrative of what is in place, what the problems and needs are, the circumstances and how resources are allocated. Dr. Tuttle also gave out Fiscal Year 2006 Proposals for Community Benefits - External Projects and said that funds available are dramatically lower than last year.
