DISABILITIES COMMISSION MEETING

Minutes of meeting on Nov. 7, 2001

The meeting was called to order at 4:10 pm in the Judge Welch room at the Provincetown Town Hall, Commercial St., Provincetown, MA 02657.

Members Present: Terri Horwitz, Toni Schiff, Betty Villari, Linton Watts.

Also present: Stephan Nofield, Town Clerk; Mark Latour, Liaison to the Town of Provincetown.

There was discussion about electing a new member to the Commission. Toni Schiff will try to get someone from town or PASG - an AIDS support group.

Stephan Nofield is in the process of obtaining updated information about requirements from the state of Massachusetts and the Mass. Municipal Association. He has material from the early 90's which may or may not be accurate now.

Mark Latour sent a note about the capital budget and requests about town curbing.

Betty Villari met with the Board of the U.U. Meetinghouse to discuss the possibility of having an elevator or stair lift installed in the church.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:50 pm.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2002 at 4 pm in the Judge Welch room at the Provincetown Town Hall.
