Minutes of the May 11, 2005 Disability Commission meeting read and approved with spelling corrections.
Old Business: Shank Painter Ponds Management Plan: Open Space Committee member Ron Robillard discussed the Open Space Committee’s plans for the area and answered questions.
Beach Wheelchair: Doug provided an update of location of the beach wheelchair and procedure for use. Doug will follow-through with Public Health Director Val Carrano and get the information to members.
Membership: Ken called Jim Pipilas and Michael Fernandez regarding membership to the Disability Commission, but neither responded.
New Business: Terry read a newspaper article on the Supreme Court’s ruling on handicapped accessibility for cruise ships.
Next meeting scheduled for Wednesday, September 14, 2005 at 10:00 am.
