Meeting Minutes

September 3, 2003

 

Members Present:            Toni Schiff, Betty Villari, Terry Horwitz, Jim Pipilas, Greta Holman, Jo-Ann Diorio, Pat Farwell

Others Present:            Jon Gilmore, Director of Community Development

 

 

Meeting called to order at 10:30AM in Judge Welsh Room. 

 

Minutes of May June 4th reviewed and corrected with minor changes.  Greta moved to approve minutes, second by Jo-Ann.  All approved.

 

Jon Gilmore, Director of Community Development gave an overview of the Town’s Community Vision Plan and Process.  Jon solicited input on issues/questions the Committee would like to see addressed, as well as general thoughts on Provincetown.  Ideas/Questions included:

            Is the Shuttle accessible?

            Better control of unauthorized use of handicap spaces (both public and private)

Community policing on handicap parking violations (Greta to research other town policies)

            Unlimited time limits for those in handicap spaces, not just 3 hours

            “Sleaze” factor increasing in town

            Less responsibility – what’s right/what’s wrong

            Maliciousness, gossip increasing

           

Old Business – Pat Farwell welcomed as newest member.

Next Meeting October 8th at 10:30AM.

 

Motion to adjourn by Terry.  Second by Betty.  All approved.
