Meeting Minutes

June 4, 2003

Members Present: Toni Schiff, Betty Villari, Terry Horwitz, Jim Pipilas, Greta Holman, Jo-Ann Diorio

Others Present: Rex McKinsey, Pier Corporation Manager

Pat Farwell, Potential New Member (first part of meeting)

Meeting called to order at 10:30AM in Caucus Hall.

Minutes of May 7^th reviewed and corrected with minor changes. Jim moved to approve amended minutes, second by Greta. All approved.

Toni introduced Pat Farwell as potential new member of Commission.

Rex McKinsey, Pier Corporation Manager, briefed the Commission on Pier accessibility. He stated that the pier has one more handicap space than required, for a total of three (one by the whale watch boats and 2 by the ferry dock). If all spaces are used, he encourages people to contact the Harbormasters Office on the pier for more assistance. All sidewalks are ramped with curb cuts. In addition, one of the ticketing boots has been made accessible. There is a batter back-up handicap ramp for the courtesy float and they are looking into providing a covered waiting area in the future.

Old Business – Town wide policy goals submitted to Selectmen.

Correspondence – Reviewed

New Member – Terry made a motion to ask Pat Farwell to join Commission. Second by Betty. All approved.

Next Meeting September 3^rd at 10:30AM.
