DISABILITY COMMISSION MINUTES

NOVEMBER 6, 2002

Present: Toni, Schiff, Betty Villari, Terry Horwitz, Greta Holman, Excused: Jim Pipilas

Other Present: Stefan Nofield, Joanne DiOrio, Marsha Fair, Debbie Dejonker-Berry, Arthur Pike of The Library Committee

Meeting called to order at 4:05 pm in the Judge Welch Room

Minutes accepted from October 2, 2002 meeting

Terry Horwitz nominated Joanne DiOrio to join the committee,

Betty Villari seconded

Presentation by Library Committee on access for Disabled people to the new

Library.

Deb presented a verbal walk through of their plans

Questions brought up about:

Automatic Door openers

Proper Signage

Street parking

Possible Taxi Service fro disabled paid for by the Library

February Parking Hearing- discussed possibilities of 2 groups presenting a

plan together.

Parking Administrator requested being tabled till next meeting

OLD BUSINESS

Crosswalk Management Plan - Tabled till next meeting -Mark Latour unable to

attend.

Invite Jon Gilmore to December meeting, re: DRM, Greta will ask him

Town Budget Request

    Submission for Committees

    Do we need operational funds?
