Meeting Agenda

Richard Olson, on his maiden attendance, asked, “Have we established priorities and guidelines for the submission of grant applications?”  Cherie M. said that each council says that local people would be shown preference.  Richard said that this priority should be printed somewhere on the application.  Maybe that the granting is  subject to educational or artistic benefit to the Town;  it has to be specific.  Mike said that also if someone had been given a grant in the past – they can’t get one for the following year.  Pasquale N. said that we talk about this when we discuss each grant.  Richard O. further said that some regulations for grants say that we should seek local input.  Some Councils have a giant public hearing.  Richard wants coordination and zeroing in on the schools.
