JUDGE WELSH MEETING ROOM

The CPC had a joint meeting with the BOS during the Selectmen's regular meeting.   Chairman Elaine Anderson noted the following attendees:

Members present: Elaine Anderson, Chairman; Celine Gandolfo; Bryan Green; Stephen Milkewicz; Dennis Minsky

Board of Selectmen present: Mary-Jo Avellar; Michelle Couture; Lynne Davies; Austin Knight

Absent members: Mona Anderson, Vice Chairman; (excused absence); Cass Benson; Bill Dougal

Recorder: Cynthia Curran

The following are meeting minutes, in brief:

LAND BANK

Michelle Couture said that she did not intend to make changes to the Land Bank without consulting with the concerned Town committees.  She wanted to indefinitely postpone the warrant article to be presented at the Town Meeting.  Mary-Jo Avellar said that it could not be done until the actual Town Meeting.  Lynne Davies said that she agreed that it should be postponed.  Michelle Couture took a straw vote and the BOS members concurred.

CPC WARRANT ARTICLES

Elaine Anderson said she had given the BOS a summary of what the CPC has accomplished this year.  Regarding the CPC's warrant articles she said that there would be no need for any borrowing to pay for them.  There are three proposed grants for Historic Preservation for the Provincetown Library, the Pilgrim Monument and Museum and the Fine Arts Work Center.  The CPC has a fourth request for $50,000.00 to pay for the Housing Specialist.  Elaine Anderson said that the CPC had committed to fund the position for three years, but hoped the position would be self-sustaining at the end of three years.

Michelle Couture said that she was pleased to read in the Annual Report that the CPC would be accepting rolling applications for future funding .

Ms. Couture also mentioned that the $100,000.00 loan grant for betterment at the 90 Shankpainter Road affordable housing project would no longer be needed.  Elaine Anderson noted that it was too late to put that on the warrant for this Town Meeting.

Michelle Couture said that she applauded all three of the Historic Preservation projects.

[This ended the CPC part of the BOS meeting.
