Members Present: Brunetta Wolfman, Patrick Manning, Gladys Johnstone,

Roberta Elliott

Members Absent: Anita Berman(with excuse) Ray Sparks(with excuse)

The meeting was chaired by Gladys Johnstone, Sec. Due to absence of Chair, Anita Berman and Vice Chair, Ray Sparks. Minutes of the previous meeting read, and with corrections approved as amended.

Director’s Report: Up-date on new folding machine. Not suitable for our needs, more research will be done. Cook Book Sale on for 8/10 and 8/11 all day from 10:00am to 4:00Pm. License Department will forward letters to all producers of events notifying them of availability of rental cushions. We will make them available for appropriate events. Director able to get volunteer for cushion rental duty through tax credit hours.

Grants are out. Waiting for Incentive Grants and EOEA to come in. Brunetta Wolfman moved Board to ask Friends of the COA (who were all present) to underwrite expenses for 2 months, exact amount needed to be given to Treasurer Vern Wilson, Motion seconded by Patrick Manning, unanimous, so moved. Board will send letter to DPW Director expressing need for full-time Janitor.

Friends Report: $500.00 donated by Volley Ball Tournament.

Old Business: “2000 Goals and Objectives” paper submitted by Brunetta Wolfman discussed and approved. Motion by Patrick Manning to adopt this paper, seconded by Roberta Elliot all in favor, so moved.

New Business: Board voted to send card to Anita Berman, Chair. So moved Send letter to A&P thanking them for Tuesday donations of bakery products and asking for possibility of donations of same on Thursdays.Motion made to adjourn, seconded. Unanimous.

Next meeting September 7, 2000 at 3:00pm.
