The Meeting was called to Order at 3:05pm

The Chair turned the meeting over to Ms. Couture. Ms. Couture explained that our remarks at Town Meeting had sounded like the Selectmen were ignoring Seniors. She cited the work to save Cape End Manor, and an on-going dialogue with Seniors. In turn, Board members shared our concerns about yet another tax, and the apparent lack of any acknowledgment of the huge Capital Gains taxes that Seniors who had been property owners for long periods would face if/when selling residences. Board members also shared some of the history of long-term friction with Town Hall. Ms. Couture was grateful for the meeting and seemed to leave with a better appreciation of our position.
