Special COA Board Meeting

March 22, 2007

The meeting was called to order by the Chair at 3:15pm

Present: Florence Alexander, Gerry Brennan [Chair], Greg Howe, Paul Mendes

The sole order of business was consideration of a proposed amendment to Special Town Meeting Article 5, Section 9.

The proposed amendment is intended to be added to the conclusion of the present Section 9, and reads as follows:

“But note that in cases in which the seller of real property interest has been a legal resident of Provincetown for 5 years or more, is sixty-two years of age, or older, and is transferring real property interest in a primary residence, the first $700,000 of the purchase price shall be exempt from the provisions of the fee imposed by this section.”

The proposal was moved by Mr. Mendes, seconded by Mrs. Alexander, and approved unanimously.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:40 pm.
