Meeting called to order by Chair at 3:15 p.m
Motion made by Greg Howe, seconded by Gladys Johnstone to accept minutes of January 8, 2004 as corrected. Unanimous. So moved.
Correspondence: Chair sent letter to Town Manager, Selectmen, and appropriate Heads of Departments regarding health and safety issues in kitchen at Grace Gouveia building. Chair has had no response at this time.
Chair sent letter of thanks to Marc Holbrook, Manager of the Grand Union in Provincetown, for donating food for a Richard Pepitone cooking class at the Senior Center.
Director’s Report: Director called Day’s & Sons for a history of service calls on stove in COA kitchen. Stove checked o.k. October 9, 2002. Discussion of ways to raise funds to purchase new stove.
Chair will contact Kathy Reno to arrange for a display table for COA at Yearrounders event in March.
Informational Meeting April 7, 2004. $2.00 donation for lunch.
Director distributed papers describing new plans for Cape End Manor using a portion of Motta field.
CIPOLA partnership meeting April 29, 2004 in Barnstable. Director will attend. COA Board invited.
Director will be on vacation March 13 – 27.
Friend’s of COA Report: Vernon Wilson reported receiving $458 in membership donations. Total to date $$3358.
Salt Council: Greg Howe reported Salt Council did not meet this month. DECIDE Program will meet 1st week in May 2004.
New Business: Ceremony of the presentation of the Boston Post Cane to Frances Raymond, 99, oldest registered voter in Provincetown, will be held at the Grace Gouveia building on March 4, 2004 at 1:00 p.m.
Discussion regarding speakers at Informational Meeting.
Board to prepare for “Goals” for COA in 2004.
Motion made by Gladys Johnstone, seconded by Greg Howe to adjourn. Unanimous. So voted.
