MOTION: Michele Couture /Austin Knight 4-0 motion to reconsider the Police Budget

8 summer officers, slight adjustment made today in salary

In the event that the disability is approved – then will not fill this position.

DARE officer should not be fulltime at the school – Chief Jaran has addressed this issue

MOTION: Michele Couture /Austin Knight approve $2,058,769 Police Budget

Fire Dept – ambulance standby under contracted services $5,000 for fireworks; bottom line stayed the same

Mary-Jo Avellar arrived at 6:00 PM.

DPW – snow & ice budget discussion of plowing of private roads (savings of $5,000)

MOTION: Michele Couture/Elaine Anderson Decrease Public Works Division by $226,803 per Sandy Turner’s spreadsheet. 5-0

CIP – three articles – street sweeper; drainage and street & sidewalk maintenance

Discussion of leasing the street sweeper; what is the cost? Michele Couture – does Truro have a sweeper? Where would money come from to pay for using this?

MOTION: Austin Knight/MJA – present an article for $175,000 as a debt exclusion for purchase of a new Street Sweeper – 4-1 (Michele Couture)

MOTION: Michele Couture/Mary-Jo Avellar 50K Article for Drainage 5-0

MOTION: Mary-Jo Avellar /Elaine Anderson to put drainage repair into the FY 2011 budget 5-0

MOTION: Michele Couture/Mary-Jo Avellar 50k Article for street and sidewalk repair 5-0

MOTION: Mary-Jo Avellar /David Bedard to put street and sidewalk repair into the FY 2011 budget 5-0

Water Enterprise Fund – MOTION Michele Couture/MJA for $1,949,663

David Bedard recused himself as he is the owner of a for-profit gym which provides services similar to those provided by the Community Center.

Recreation Dept – Michele –put on override Michele Couture/MJA – 3-1 (MJA)

David Bedard Returned

Library Dept – accept cut of $8,448 Michele Couture/MJA 5-0

Michele Couture/Austin Knight reduce BOS conventions/seminar line by $2,250 4-1 (Mary-Jo Avellar)
