Minutes:            motion to accept minutes of meetings April25..Mar 23.  May 31 as read offered by James. seconded by Robin

New Business:

1.  Request by Gabriel Brooke to place bench at Bas Relief

in honor of Laurel Brooke

2.  Suggestion by B, Rushmore to place 6’ bench at top of stairs

    at Grace Hall parking lot near maple tree.

3.          Reported that #5 Pumper House wants.bench in spring after work to building is finished,

4.          Gift from Ron Robin discussed: question of High Pole Hill area after removing tree presently there Cost discussed of copper beech: 2-2l./2” calliper 250$,  11/2-2”    Is  182$

            5.         Leland cypress suggested by B- Rushmore for area near Gabriel's

at Bas Relief.  To be planted 10’ away from building.- 6’ apart.  Such planting would require 9-11 trees          Cost:6-7’ 135$ 5-6‘ 89 $ 7-8’ 160$ Robin to research appropriateness of cypress in this location.

6.  Tree guards requested for in front of Town Hall; old ones to be replaced.

7.  B. Rushmore reported on trees planted around town by Trees For Town: 12’ maples on Howland nr Harry Kemp,  Standish  above Bradford transport station W inthrop nr old bank 6 tamarisks at Patrician, replacement of trees in tubs at transport station.

8          Trees for Town reported that their next projects include: Cherry trees to replace birch at Lopes Sq.,  plant trees at Johnson St parking lot, at Shankpainter parking lot (next to Mama’s)

9            Reported that Visitors Service Bd.  working on Five Year Budget which may increase our budget

         Public mtg in Oct.

10.        Request that planter at old gas tanks to be replaced; design

of plants and trees to be considered.

11.            Memorial for Popeye discussed.  To be continued with

proponet of petition.

12.            Letter from Michael Sperber read.  To be followed up with Mrs. Moore

       13.       Letter read concerning power lines and bike racks from Selectmen

1.         Motion to place bench at Grace Hall parking lot offered

          by Robin,. seconded by LouAnn    Vote 3-0

2.  Motion to reimburse both Robin and James for plant material

Made by LouAnn, seconded by James.        Vote 3-0

3.  Motion to pay Jackie Freitas for work prior to her DPW

position made by Robin,. seconded by LouAnn.      Vote 3-0

4.  Motion to plant copper beech at High Pole Hill contingent

on DPW's cooperation and availability.  Made by Robin seconded by James.  Vote 3-0.
