Provincetown Beautification Committee

Members present: James Mack, Jennifer Crooks, Cecilia Hall, Robin Evans

Minutes from 2/27/07 meeting were approved as read.

Discussion re: Waterfront Park project. The committee voted, on James’ motion, to support the VSB plan for Waterfront Park renovation. We will donate two benches to the project.

Discussion re: Gift tree given by Neil Tolle in honor of Michael Valenti and his husband Michael’s wedding. The tree will be planted in the Waterfront Park when that project happens.

Discussion re: High School landscaping plan presented by Jennifer, which she has been working on with the High School principal. The plan will be designed for low maintenance, including an irrigation system. Students will be encouraged to plant flowers in the school colors as part of the landscaping. The committee unanimously voted (on James’ recommendation) to support the plan, and voted to give $2000 toward the project.

Discussion re: new Dog Park. We voted to support it as the planning progresses.
