Beautification Committee Meeting Minutes

May 16, 2005

Members present:  Mary Ann Powers, Jennifer Crooks, James Mack, Cecilia Hall

Nathan Herrick of DPW also present.

Meeting called to order at 11:05 am

Previous meeting’s minutes approved. 

Placement for new benches discussed.  James moved, 9unanimous vote to place one at Bradford and Howland. 

Jennifer moved we approve copy for plaque to be placed at Lopes Square at anchor.  Unanimous approval.

Mary Ann moved we approve payment of $4195.40 and 874.00 to O’Brien and Sons for benches. 

Discussion about Masonic Place steps and street.  Jennifer raised the possibility of making that area our next project. 

Discussion about trash cans on Commercial Street.  Can more be placed between Standish and Ryder Streets?
