Minutes from Beautification Committee Meeting of April 4, 2005

On April 4, 2005, the Beautification Committee held a meeting in the Caucus Hall at Town Hall.  Members present were James Mack, Jennifer Crooks, Mary Ann Powers, Cecilia Hall, and Lou Ann Bowen.  Guests present were Nathan Herrick, Barbara Rushmore and Thomas Biggert.

Meeting was called to order at 11:05 am. 

There was discussion about the reported removal of the large locust trees at Lopes Square. 

It was decided that we will plan the plantings on islands and in front of the post office, if the town will provide Nathan with a truck to use for watering and taking care of plants. 

Barbara R. and Thomas B. presented the committee with two checks for donations for two trees at Lopes Square. 

Jennifer, James, and Nathan will visit "The Farm" to purchase plants for the islands and barrell planters just before Memorial Day week. 

Barbara R. presented a plan for bricking the sidewalk in front of the Penny Patch.  It will be looked into, whether it is town property or not.

Meeting adjourned at 12:35 pm.
