BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE MEETING
April 12, 2004
Members present: MaryAnn, LouAnn, Robin, James Meeting called to
order 11:05AM
Intro of Guests: Laurel Gaudazno spoke on the text for the Bas
Relief signage suggested by the Monument Bd-to be similar to one at the
"High Pole Hill Historic Site" used at the
Pilgrim
Monument. Sign to include map and explanation of Bas Relief, the two stone
commemorative markers, and the Monument. Also to include directions to
Estimate 8,000$ (which hopefully includes stand)
Minutes approved for meetings of March 28,2003 with motion to
approve by Robin,
second by MaryAnn, vote unanimous; June
23,2003 with
motion by MaryAnn, second by James, vote
unanimous; March
10,2004 with motion by LouAnn, second by
Robin, vote
unanimous.
Old Business
Lopes Square renovations to start in
October. Plantings
therefore needed for
this summer season. Also at Post
Office. Jennifer and
her crew have volunteered in past;
Will find out if
definite for this year again.
Benches ordered as per suggestion of Barbara
Rushmore.
Cecilia Hall to become new member of
committee.
New Business
Recycling bins on hold as no money in DPW
budget. Idea suggested
to approach high school
or elementary school to build bins and collect money from bottle/can returns
