BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE MEETING

August 26, 2002

Meeting called to order at 12:10PM

Minutes approved from meeting of July 25, 2002. Vote unanimous.

Old Business:

A. Bas Relief design reviewed with Martha Lyons from Paysage, Sandy Turner and Jeff Perry from DPW.

Discussion of next phase of plantings-trees alongside walkway, and shrubs/grasses in front border around proposed sign.

Site visit and collaborative efforts to adjust plantings to scale

and concerns of Monument Board.

Paysage to submit several alternative planting designs by next meeting.

B. Watering/Maintenance

DPW announced that dept had hired personnel through Oct. to

water and increase upkeep on town properties.

C. Lopes Square

Discussion of plan and steps to proceed as funds nonexistent.

Discussion of possible funding sources. ?VSB grant. To follow-up.
