Animal Welfare Committee meeting December 19 at Town Hall

The meeting was called to order at 3:30. In attendance were Nagle, Hanna, Milkewicz and MacDonald. Holley was excused.

Motion to write an article for THE BANNER congratulating “Champion Veritas That’s So New York”, Doberman owned by Feller and Hanna. Milkewicz moved, MacDonald seconded. So moved.

Correction to minutes of Dec. 5, Hanna had been excused. Milkewicz moved, Nagle seconded to accept the minutes of Dec. 5 as corrected.

There will be no meeting January 2nd. Next meeting will be Jan. 16 and members will receive copies of the posted agenda as a reminder.

FYI: Marge Bobbins, the groomer from KC’s has moved to Nelson’s Stables location. Her new phone number is 487-3877 or 487-WOOF

Long discussion about new poop bag locations and whether we could meet to construct. Carol will see if Dave Butler can construct a prototype and maybe we can supply as a way for the AWC to give back to the town. We would have to get permission from DPW. We also need to research better, more easily handled, bags. Nagle to write to Sandy Turner. We will install and maintain if permitted.

Cape Air is going to feature Pilgrim Bark Park in their IN FLIGHT magazine.
