 MINUTES:

Ms. Brooke handed out an outline of key discussion notes.

•Dog Park: Proposing the land next to the skate board park, disposal field D-East, as the potential site for the dog park.  Ms. Brooke brought visuals of dog parks around the country that have been built and are currently being run very successfully.

Ms. Brooke noted subcommittee needed for the continuing campaigning for dog park. Concerns were brought to the table concerning the dog park.  These were discussed at length and the committee is ready to meet each one with a resolution.  These would included talking to neighbors, walking the property, visit other parks to visualize their success and view their regulations.  This has no relevance to the continuing of off leach areas that have already been established in the bylaws.  One has nothing to do with the other.  The committee was emphatic about this issue.

Ms. Brooke brought forth a motion to get the dog park moving forward.

Unanimous vote to proceed.

The additional topics discussed were the following:

Rabies, Poop/Beach pick up, Leash Law, Dog Bites, Dog Licenses, Volunteers for wildlife transportation, Wildlife and domestic animal education, partnerships with other animal organizations, Poop dispensers, throw away animals, emergency disaster plan.

NEXT CAW MEETING: Thursday November 3, 2005

ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Ms. Brooke motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ms. Hanna.  Chair Brooke adjourned the meeting at 4:35 p.m.

Respectfully submitted Elizabeth Anne Brooke,

Secretary, CAW
