CALL TO ORDER:  Mr. Muse called the meeting to order at 8:20 a.m.

Ms. Parsons made a motion to accept the BOA Minutes of August 31, 2006. Ms. Parmakian seconded the motion, and the motion carried by a 4-0 vote.

EXEMPTIONS/ABATMENTS:

 

Exemptions

The Board was presented with a list of Twenty-One FY 2006 exemptions to date with the following recommendations:

 

Section 5K –Senior Volunteer Work Credit  Twenty-one applications were considered for this period.  The applicant meets the current requirements.  Ms. Parmakian moved, and Ms. Parsons seconded to grant the exemption.  The motion carried 4-0.

General Update from Principal Assessor

Mr Gavin reported that the 2007 tax commitment bills are on schedule and are ready to be mailed out on October 2, 2006, with payment due by November 3, 2006.

 

 

NEXT BOA MEETING:

The next meeting of the Board of Assessors will be scheduled for Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 8:15 A.M. and will be held until 10:00 a.m.

 

 

ADJOURNMENT:

There being no further business to come before the Board at the time, Mr. Gavin motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Ms. Parsons.  The meeting was adjourned at 9:40 a.m.
