TOWN OF PROVINCETOWN

ART COMMISSION MEETING ‑ Wednesday, December 1, 1999"

PRESENT: Julie Heller, Constance Black, Neva Hansen

ABSENT (Excused]: Rosemary Hillard

 

MEETING was held in Town Hall, Caucus Room. Chairman, Julie Heller called the meeting to order at 5:io p.m..

 

1. SLIDE CATALOGUE OF TOWN ART COLLECTION.

Patricia Zur has agreed to complete the work and will start on it next week.

 

1. END OF YEAR REPORT,

CoDies of minutes received from Town Clerks office and work is in progress

 

3. RESTORATION OF PAINTING.

Christina Bird has picked up the painting with the electrician's tape on it from the High School and will proceed with repairs. High School Principal would like a talk on the collection at the school.

 

4. GRANTS.

See letter to David Guertin, DPW Director, from Richard Pepitone, which refers to "Save Our Sculpture" funds. Connie Black will speak tc Mr. Pepitone.

 

5. PART‑TIME EMPLOYEES:

Julie has spoken to Peter Macara about working for the Commission, transporting and installing works from the collection. He is interest( in doing it.

 

6. NEW MEMBERS: Neva will call Peter Garza and Elizabeth Richter to ask if they are still interested in Art Commission Membership and will prepare a pres! release for the newspapers seeking new members.
